YOUR LABELS?

Use a BIP-329 compatible wallet, Labelbase and label all your addresses, inputs, outputs and transactions.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Label anyway: If your wallet doesn't support BIP-329 yet, you can always use Labelbase to manage your labels directly within the web app.
  • Import your labels: Labelbase supports several wallet import formats. Check the "Import" menu within your Labelbase.
  • Encrypt your label backup: Labelbase enables you to export your Bitcoin labels in the BIP-329 format, encrypted using a passphrase, as a 7z archive for offline storage or secure transfer.

Community Spotlight:

Recently, Fabian Jahr, a prominent figure in the Bitcoin community, was awarded the HRF's prestigious CISA Research Fellowship. This fellowship will enable Fabian to delve deeper into Cross-Input Signature Aggregation (CISA), a proposed Bitcoin upgrade that holds significant potential for enhancing transaction privacy and reducing costs. Over the next six months, Fabian will build upon his existing work, contributing to the creation of an industry paper that meticulously analyzes the state and future implications of CISA.

The importance of this fellowship extends beyond academic curiosity. CISA represents a pivotal innovation for Bitcoin, offering a pathway to greater privacy for users by obscuring transaction inputs, thereby making chain analysis more challenging. Additionally, by consolidating multiple inputs into a single signature, CISA could substantially lower transaction fees, benefiting users and the broader Bitcoin network. Fabian’s research, supported by HRF, is poised to be a cornerstone in the ongoing development of Bitcoin, potentially paving the way for more secure and cost-effective transactions.
